And Piu Meets Mother Nature: Little Saint

Howdy! I am sure you don't want to miss these previous chapters:

Chapter 1: And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Step Mom Secret
Chapter 2: And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Fruit Story
Chapter 3: And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Fruit Story Continues...

Piu woke up early that day and walked straight to the kitchen. Hugging Mom cutely, she spoke, "Mom, I met Mother Nature last night"

Her husky cute voice made Mommy kiss her cheeks and ask affectionately, "How come honey?"

"She came into my dream...And she was so beautiful."

"Really! Did you enjoy meeting her? What did she say?"

"I loved being with her...She cuddled me and talked to me for hours. You know what Mommy, she looked ditto like you. Same to Same"

"Oh really, How sweet" Mom was absolutely delighted.

"Yes, you and Mother Nature share the same face. But she wears different kind of outfits and jewelry. She was all wrapped in green, blue, pink, red, yellow and other beautiful colors. She had her body covered with grass, leaves, petals and flowers. She wore flower made and fruit made jewelry. And Water was her scarf. She had long hair, big eyes and beautiful lips like you.." Piu was all busy in expressing exactly what she saw in her dream.

"Wow"

"Yes Mommy and she kissed me, hugged and asked me to take care of every plant, every creature and be nice to the surroundings. I promised her to water plants every day, grow more plants and never pluck flowers and leaves. I will play in garden and make mud pies rather than watching TV."

"Oh My God! What else did she tell you?" Mommy was curious like a kid.

"She told me that Nature is everything. Everything fruits, veggies, trees, water, air, soil and plants and flowers and everything is Mother Nature...Even earth too. I will take care of the surroundings while doing everything because surroundings is Nature. You are Nature. I am Nature...Right Mommy"

Mom kissed Piu and patted her back for such a wonderful portrayal of Nature. She was amazed to see the power of imagination. All she had to do was do the initial ignition and rest was meant to be taken care of by itself. And she was glad that she started with the fruity tales and successfully introduced her child with Nature and its vastness.

Mommy had no clue that she would meet li'l SAINT Piu early that morning. This made her laugh in amazement!

And of course she was in tears to know the fact that nothing can replace Mother's face in her child's heart... That's why Piu found Mother Nature's face similar to her mommy...

Now Since Piu was aware that Mother Nature paid attention to her and now it was her turn to pay back Mother Nature with her regular practices to keep the environment clean, water the plants, be careful towards trees, grass and everything that has been created by Prakriti (Mother Nature) itself, Mom was relaxed. But, she knew that there's was a long way to go. She had to introduce to her little baby with thousands of wonderful components of Nature...

Mommy knew a life will fall short while exploring the depths and ends of Nature. But, she knew it was her duty to discover as much as she could for her daughter and rest she will leave on her daughter to discover on her own...Some of the topics that she had to tell stories about, were-How sun shines, the cool moon, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and rain, fog and seasons and what not! After all, everything was Mother Nature!

Chapter 1: And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Step Mom Secret
Chapter 2: And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Fruit Story

Piu was early on the bed that night. She had no interest in watching TV with dad. She so wanted to dig through the fruit story...

"Mom, I stood by the refrigerator many times today, But I heard no voices..." She asked cutely as Mom entered the room with glass of milk.

"Kids can't hear fruits talking. Only elders can" Mom wanted to get away with the question before Piu could made it really challenging for her to answer it.

"Oh I see, same as we can't see big people kissing?, anyways continue with the story" Piu uttered these words too innocently to make mommy feel worried. She rather kissed her little daughter's cheeks and continued with the story.

"Well, I told the fruits that I was Piu's Mother and I wanted to talk to them. I asked them for an introduction and they looked back at me with a smile..."

Piu's bright lit eyes could explains she own a brilliant power to imaginate things beautifully.

"Two yellow gentlemen initiated the process...They removed a little of their jacked and sang melodiously,

Covered with yellow, white within
When Piu will eat us, she won't remain weak or thin
Filled with Vitamins and minerals
Sweet and pulpy, we are banana brothers...

And Then, Mr. & Mrs. Papaya stepped forward,

Mother Nature made us sweet and pulpy
Ask Piu to eat us and her stomach will never be bulky
I am Papaya and she is my wife
We are at your service, just bring up the knife

Now, It was Apple Brother's turn,

Howdy, Apples are here
So no worries about health troubles, nothing to fear
Meet pineapple, tangy and healthy
Everyone says, he belongs to THE APPLE family
We don't understand, why is this all big fuss
Even when this fruit, doesn't look like us

Next was Pomegranate...

Hi fair lady, I am Pomegranate
A fruit no one can ever hate
I shall boost up iron and blood in your baby's body
I am the eligible bachelor in the town, I am love of every beautiful lady

And now pears...

Hi there
Healthy and green we are here
Meet my wife and me
May your family always be ailment free

And then all the fruits and veggies in the refrigerator altogether sang...

We are created by Mother Nature
For you, For Piu, for Every creature
Like she invented you,
She invented us too
Eat us, don't throw us
Protect the trees, they grow us
There are more, fruits and veggies
Waiting always to be at your service
Love us like we love you
Mother Nature cares for you, Oh its true...!"

Piu listened to this entire melodramatic story with her mouth open. She was so amazed to see fruits singing and jingling in her imagination. She suddenly found a whole new world around her, a world she never noticed...She hugged Mommy and kissed her cheeks.

"We will grow more and more trees...I love you Mommy"

Mommy kissed her angel too and wished her a good night with beautiful dreams. It was time to go to the bed...

And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Fruit Story

***Pssst! Hey, I guess you are missing out the previous part of this story... Here's the link...

Previous Chapter

Mom knew it was the time to shift the bed time stories from fairy tales to stories about Mother Nature.
Piu was already in bed, waiting for mommy to come in and introduce her to all the interesting fruity characters. Ah Kids, they are always curious and punctual when it comes to bedtime stories.

And, Mom Began...

"One night, when you and Daddy were asleep, I heard people talking in cute voices."

Piu settled down with her little frog pillow to show her curiosity. Mom Continued, "First I thought it was an illusion, but the voices continued to come. I tried to sleep, but nothing helped. I was constantly distracted by those frail voices."

"Were you afraid Ma, why didn't you wake me up" Piu interrupted.

"You were enjoying your sleep honey, so I decided to go out and check by myself. As I walked out of the room and followed the direction of voices, I found out that the voices were coming from Kitchen. And as I entered in the kitchen, it was so clear that someone was talking inside the refrigerator"

"Its a ghost story and you promised that there will be some fruity stuff" Piu was worried and her cute pouty expressions conveyed it well.

"Hush, don't break the flow honely, listen further. As I sat down and placed my ear and refrigerator's door, what I heard was amazing. Some frail voices were talking about you...All nice and beautiful things about you... "

"About me" Piu's face lit up with Joy...

"Yes, and all that I could hear was--Piu is one bright and intelligent kid. Mother Nature has created us to boost her health, mind and body. We should do our best to keep this wonderful kid healthy. After all, Mother Nature loves her so much." Mom continued with her animated expressions.

"Wow" Piu was overwhelmed, after all who doesn't like to be praised, specially ladies.

"And, then I couldn't wait to open the door. But, as I did, all the fruits were surprised and little afraid too..."

"Fruits" Piu's eyes were wide open in astonishment. "Fruits were talking about me Mamma?"

"Yes My Dear and Then I met, Mr. & Mrs. Papaya, Step Brothers-Apples & Pineapple, eligible bachelor Pomegranate, Banana Brothers and Many More.."

"Wow, Tell me about them...Let's go and meet them now... Please! Let's hear them talking about me" Kids are to handle when they are restless.

"No...Promise me that you won't panic and wait for the next chapter of this story unfold the new things. Remember once I told you patience is the key?" Mom was firm.

Piu was too curious to spoil the entire mood of the story, so she decided to wait until tomorrow. She kissed Mom and smiled.

"Sleep tight Honey, and remember Mother Nature Loves you, so love her back" Said Mommy with affection.

Piu looked at the stars outside the window and waited for next night to come soon.

And Piu Meets Mother Nature: The Step Mom Secret

“Mommy!!!! Mommaaaaa!!” Piu’s back home from school.

Mom could hear her tiny footsteps marching through the lobby, and then the familiar sound of her throwing the water bottle first and then the lunch box in either the sides of lobby. And, the little lady walked up with grace, unloading the not-so-heavy school bag from her delicate shoulders preaching again, “Mommy!!!! Mommy where are ya?”

Mom was effortlessly distracted from the laundry and walked out to hug her little princess… In the middle of the hug, Piu bombed a new question, “Mommy, who is Mother Nature?”

“Mother Nature, well she is….”

“Don’t tell me she is my step mom!!!” Piu pretends to raise an eyebrow.

“Who introduced you to the term step mom??...”

Before mommy could overcome this surprise li’l lady interrupts again, “Well, that’s not a point of discussion here… Don’t tell me you guys hiding something from me?  Wait, is she Dad’s second wife? Is dad married to Nature too?” This seriousness of li’l lady was turning too cute to handle…!

Trying to control her laughter, Mommy managed to speak out, “Baby there’s nothing like that…”

And the cute interruption stroke again, “I can smell something fishy going under my nose” and she did that nose twisting thing vaguely.

Mommy’s mouth fell open. She was still stuck with the astonishment that what introduced her daughter to the term step mom and now she had to three new words to worry about-Dad’s second wife, Something Fishy & Of course Under My Nose!

Now asking the wise little lady was the only way out…

“What happened, my love, tell me in detail…” Mommy surrendered!

“I and Rhea were plucking flowers from the plant in school and Rangoli miss punished us…” Piu was excellent in delivering that balloon faced expression with her cute cheeks.

“Ah! Why were you plucking flowers?”

“Just like that, and then I was chasing that blue butterfly and kicked a flowerpot with my feet and it was broken into pieces mom”

“Oh”

“Then teacher asked me to stand on the table for 10 minutes and I denied”

“Why?”

“Because plucking flowers, chasing butterflies and breaking flowerpot is not crime” Affirmation in those big eyes.

“Crime..Oh! She is also familiar with this word…” Mommy mumbled to herself!

“And then teacher looked at me and said that I had no respect for my mother nature and I should learn to show some” Piu continued advocating her point.

“Wait Wait Wait Honey!... I really need to ask who teaches you about second wife, step mother, under the nose, fishy, crime and stuff life that… BUT first, I need to introduce you to Mother Nature!” Mommy held Piu’s hand and walked her to the garden area…

Curious Piu walked obediently.

“Look at the surrounding, the blooms, the trees, the plants, the air, the sunshine, the grass, everything is Mother Nature…” Mommy explained animatedly!

“Really!!” Piu was amazed and interested to know more…

“Yes, Nature is mother of us all… She is the one, who has created this world and made it look so beautiful…The sea, the mountains, the forests, rain, fog, everything….”

“Then why can’t I see her in person?”

“mmm…well…actually…”

“Where does she live?”

“She is...actually invisible…mmm no rather present in the air…”

“Mommy, get your concepts cleared first, nothing’s invisible except smell and air, but still we can feel them”
Piu was sure she knew more than Mommy..

“I know but let me explain it in a better way…”

“Yawwn! Enough of information for today Mommy, I am hungry and thank God this nature thing is not married to Dad, otherwise you two would have busy in filing a divorce…” Piu walked inside…her slow lazy walk!

Mommy stood still, her mouth fell open, still wondering that how does she know about DIVORCE! But anyways, Mommy’s concern was to introduce her little wonder to the most wonderful person ever…Yes Mother Nature… And she was determined to do it...Anyhow!

While feeding her cute baby doll, Mommy announced, “I will be introducing you to Mother Nature soon… Be ready to meet Mr. & Mrs. Papaya, since you know what ‘step’ means, so Step Brothers-Apples & Pineapple, eligible bachelor Pomegranate, Banana Brothers and many more…”

Piu jumped in Joy, after all, she loved stories!

In the party, every man with clean shaven beard was Piu’s favorite. His clean shaven look bowled her over. But, she was not happy with uncle chauffeur’s beard. So, she had decided inside her mind that she won’t go back home with this stubbly man. Rather, she would pick some clean stubble uncle to drop her home.

She wondered why were all the ladies even letting him sit beside them. He was the only person looked like chimpanzee amongst all humans. But, uncle was too over friendly with Piu because he thought he had made friends with Piu during the car driving process.

But he was wrong. Piu was always there standing behind uncle stubbly chauffeur.

Piu made funny faces to make sure that each pose he was giving while sitting amidst of those ladies, would go useless.

She wished if she had a mike, she could stand on the dining table and address all people about goodness of clean stubble. She would let all the men know that how superb it would feel to have a sparkling and hygienic face.

But, soon at the age of 5, this little kid had understood that being a celebrity and getting a stage to speak wasn’t that easy. So she better decided to dance and dine it. Obviously she was hoping to have a good chauffeur while driving back home.

Mommy somehow convinced stubborn princess to drive away with the guest chauffeur. Of course lady of the house was a little embarrassed with sharpness of her li’l daughter’s tongue. But the guest looked happy with innocent talking of little lady.

Somehow Piu was convinced to go along with Simi’s daddy, but she clearly declared that she was doing this against her will and just for her friendship with Simi.

Finally, the little lady and chauffeur were in the car. Driving insane of course, Why? Find out!

“Uncle, why don’t you cut your beard?”
“Ah, just like that”
“But, you should because I believe you would look nice if you chop it off”
Uncle was speechless but smiling inside.
“Do you have a girlfriend” Piu’s interrogation was still on
“No” Uncle Chauffeur replied
“See, it’s because of your stubble. Girls hate it man, even I hate that unclean stubble. GO get clean shaven and you will get a girlfriend for sure” Piu was confident.
“But I have a wife, how to deal with that” Said uncle chauffeur.
Piu winked at him naughtily and laughed hard. But inside, she wished some clean shaven gentleman would have come to pick her up. Phewww!

Piu was invited to Simi’s party. This obviously made her super excited but mommy denied. Reason was Dadda’s unavailability at home. Piu was angry, why mommy couldn’t let her go for party on her own. May be Piu thought that she was grown up enough to draw her mini bicycle and attend the party. But, Mommy didn’t of course!

But, Simi’s mom solved the problem. She called up Piu's mom and told her that she would send Simi’s uncle to pick Piu up. So, Mom was convinced finally, though half-heartedly.

Piu was all set, ready in her sparkling outfit. She was desperately waiting for the doorbell to ring, so that she could sit at the backseat of car and make a superb entry in the party. Ah! Celeb kids these days.

As the bell rang and mommy opened the door, Piu’s eyes left wide open.

“Ma’am I am Simi’s uncle, I am here to pick Piu for party!” He said

“Yeah sure, but make sure she’s dropped back home on time and….”

Before Mommy could speak anything, Little Piu shouted, “I hate that unclean stubble Mommy, I ain’t going with this man!”

The guest couldn't help but laughed scratching his own beard...He obviously wanted to drive his cute guest to the party for sure.

“What did I do know” Piu asked innocently sipping her morning milk (eyuuuuk)
“Why did u lectured Sam bhaiya about that entire matrimony episode?”
“Because he was finding fault in that lady despite of his stinky beard” Piu was quite clear and confident about her point.
“Well honey, you never know you might get married to stubbly man one day” Mommy winked
Piu was silent, but Mom could notice a bouncy storm floating behind her still big eyes.

Piu walked back in her room, juggling with the horrible thoughts of having a stubbly husband. After giving thousand thoughts to this matter, this little lady decided to run away from her home and find out the man whom she’s gonna marry in future. She would make sure that she picks a man who is clean shaven ofcourse.

Packing her frocks, shoes and doll in her tiny bag, she walks straight to the pond nearby. She always considered this pond few miles away from her home as ‘Away from home’ spot.

Sitting calmly across the shore, she kept herself busy with thoughts. She didn’t bother throwing pebbles in the water.

“I am going to find that prince charming thing out and tell him that see I hate that unclean stubble. If he will understand it, he will better get a chance to marry me” Piu uttered the uncontrollable urge cutely.

“Well, my little princess is planning to get married?”  Dadda’s voice interrupted.

“Dadda?” Piu was pleasantly surprised to see Dad standing behind her.

“Let’s go home”

“Dadda, I am not coming home until you promise that you’re gonna find a clean shaven groom for me”

Did Daddy had any other choice except laughing out loud?

“I am going to reject that girl. She wasn’t pretty at all” Said Sam, Piu’s cousin brother. Piu’s aunty was concerned to know that what was the matter while little Piu was busy waving the trees moving along the road. (She strongly believed that the car she was sitting in was moving forward and trees along with the road were moving backward).

“But I found that girl quite simple and natural beauty? What’s the matter with you? Do you want to marry someone else? Tell me frankly” That was Sam’s paranoid mother talking.

“Mother, didn’t you see her face, she didn’t even have eyebrows done neatly? She has no style no class and I cannot marry someone, who couldn’t even get her eyebrows clean, especially when a guy is coming to see her for wedding matter” replied annoyed Sam.

“But do you understand how hard it would get for us to say NO to that girl, her father has been very good to us” cried aunty.

“Don’t worry Badi Maa (Aunty), that lady is going to say No to Sam Bro” interrupted Li’l Piu. Everyone, who thought she wasn’t listening to the conversation inside the car, had their illusion broken!

“How??” Asked curious Sam.

“Have you seen your face, stubble and scary! I am sorry but I hate that unclean stubble. And when I hate it imagine how much grown up ladies would dislike it”

“Oh please, I look so stunning and matured in this beard”

“Oh yes, you want a girl to get her eyebrow hair plucked with thread but can’t chop off your bush painlessly?” Piu yelled.

“Mom, she’s going to be a politician or leader for sure!”  Sam was laughing.
“Don’t worry Sam, the lady’s going to reject you for sure” Aunty joined the laughter.

Early morning when Mom and Dad tiptoed towards the X-Mas tree to leave gifts for Piu, they were shocked to see the gift wrap and a tiny letter. It read.

Dear Santa,

You have been nice and sweet all these years. You bring special gifts for me and leave them under this tree or hang there around it before I wake up. You are so smart and I know I can’t get a chance to meet you in person. So, I am leaving this letter and gift for you.

I know you have a rich collection of gifts but still I think you deserve a gift from me. Here’s shave gel and razor, exclusively for you. I bought it only for you and Dad helped me in shopping. Though Dad must be thinking that I bought this for him because he is only man in house, who can grow beard! But you don’t worry I will manage and make him understand that you need this razor more than he does. After all, your beard is longer and older than his.

Anyways, don’t think that I am giving this gift to you because you can’t afford it. Well you can! But, its just a good gesture to give return gifts. And, I also want to tell you that I hate that unclean stubble, so it would be great if you could distribute gifts clean shaven this X-mas season.

PS: If there’s any spelling mistake or typo then Uncle Sid is solely responsible for that. I have just spoken my heart and he is the one to write this letter for me. I have hired him after all I am just 4. Have you ever seen a 4 year old kid writing a letter herself?

Dad was smiling continuously while he returned from X-mas shopping with his little daughter Piu. Mommy couldn’t keep herself from asking, “What’s the matter smarty? Did your daughter launch some special missile on you?”

“How do you know that wify?”
“Its obvious love, now tell me?”
“Actually, our little princess has bought special X-mas gift for me…and you won’t believe what it is”
“Really! What’s that?”
“A Gillette razor and Gillette shave gel” Daddy winked at her wife
“What…!” Mommy’s mouth fell open in surprise.
“Yes, and today I released she’s turning cutely stubborn”
“But why razor and shave gel?” Mummy asked.
“Yes I asked her the same and you would wonder what she replied in return”
Mom was eager to know what exactly her little wonder said and to soothe her curiosity, Daddy narrated to whole story.

Piu started commanding me to head towards men’s section and she wanted to buy something there.

“But baby girl, men’s section?” I asked
“Yes because someone gave me gifts every x-mas and I believe ‘that someone’ should get one this time” she replied cutely and I couldn’t resist.
Then she picked up the box of Gillette shave gel and razor and walked to the counter to get it gift packed.
“But why this honey, I have this at home already” I protested.
“Dadda, I know but the person I am gifting this to MUST KNOW that I hate that unclean stubble and this gift will remind him the same, always!”
I had no option but obeying. I was amazed to notice how beautifully she was trying to keep this gift a surprise for me. She was trying to play smart as if I didn’t know that I was the only man in house to use that shaving stuff.

Mommy & Daddy smiled.

Piu was famous for behaving like a kitten early in the morning while she woke up. Cuddling Mommy endlessly, rolling in her lap and then talking about her last night dream in frisky-husky voice.

“Mommy, do you know I fell in time machine last night” murmured little Piu.

“Really!” Ah! These tech-savvy kids, wondered Mommy.

“Yes and it took me to my future” she continued

“Oh princess, what did you see there?”

“Whatever I saw, it doesn’t matter. I just want to make an official announcement that I ain’t gonna marry a man with stubble… Even if he loves me more than Daddy Loves You”

“Oh God this kid is turning dangerous day by day” Mommy thought to herself, but couldn’t gather courage to speak it out.

But Piu continued, “I met this guy in my future, who claimed to be my lover. But I said no, straight away!”
Gosh! Mom was breathless to see little wonder talking like a matured lady.

“But he was on his knees, not ready to give up. He said he could do anything for me”

“Really” Mommy was feeling the butterflies in her stomach.

“Yes, then I asked him to get clean shaven, but he denied.” Piu was narration the whole dream sequence in such a magical way that it appeared real.

“Why honey!”

“It’s a suspense…have patience till the end. I clearly stated that I hate that unclean stubble and he had to remove it”

“Awww.. then”

“You won’t believe Mommy, beneath that bushy and dirty beard, he hid a wrinkled face. Now I understood, male grow their beard to hide their wrinkles. So, I ain’t gonna marry any stubbly man!” Piu switched her tone smoothly from surprised to authoritative.

Mommy had no choice but laughing hard until it started hurting her belly.

Dressed up in Pink, Piu was looking at the mirror.

No she wasn’t self-obsessed. She was actually doing it to kill time. Mommy was busy doing make-up and Dad hadn’t arrived yet.

“Mommy, why did you marry Dad?” asked Piu staring at the mirror continuously.

“What do you mean little lady” Mommy questioned in response.

“No, I mean he isn’t punctual, he snores frequently, he’s always late when we have to go somewhere and he forgets the shopping list at home! Still you married him, I wonder” Piu managed to sustain her pout during entire sentence.

“Piu” Mom was awestruck!

“Ok, I agree he looks handsome! Was this the reason to marry him” Piu smiled at her mom, naughtily.

“My Love, I married your Daddy because I loved him and still do; Love doesn’t look for reasons!” said Mommy, holding her little daughter in her arms, softly.

Daddy was too lucky to be present at the right place at right time.

“Oh really…!” He winked at her wife.

“Oh really really Mr. you are late! And oh my God, which fertilizer do you put in your beard, it grows so fast…” It was Piu, playing the gooseberry!

“Oh my little Pie, I am just gonna clean it off and yes, I was all clean shaven while I proposed your mother, I guess My clean shaven look bowled her over and she said yes” Daddy explained.

“But why do you hate beard so much lady” Mommy teased Piu.

“I hate it because its unclean, it stinks, it pierces my skin when daddy gives me stubbly kiss and I believe people use beard to hide their wrinkles and …….” Piu’s list continued until Daddy shaved, mommy did the touch-up and Piu was parked at the back seat of the car…

Do Not Disturb: The Blue Envelop

“Do Not Disturb” Yes, this was scribbled on that blue envelop she found underneath the abandoned wardrobe. She didn’t use this closet for years. She would use it while she was a child but now it didn’t match her standards.  Today she had to bent down and search for her little boy’s toy train, which accidently landed under that wardrobe. The blue envelop accompanied the train while it was fetched out.

She was too busy to ignore that piece of paper easily, but she couldn’t because those three words in inverted commas were written by her mother. How could she forget her mother’s handwriting? Mother was the one, who taught her to write.

Escaping from her daily life duties, she managed to steam few minutes and unwrap that envelop. There was a letter in it. Her mom’s letter…! Turning too restless, she unfolded its creases…The letter read:

My little Princess,

I don’t want to disturb you so keeping it short. You have grown up, too busy to look after your life. You are moving forward, which is life’s rule and its most prominent part. But, memories are also a little part of life. Memories allow us to look back sometimes. You and I have the most wonderful memories. Earlier, you stayed inside me and then you came in this world to stay with me, completely.

You made me complete. We played together, bed-time stories, discussing about your mathematics phobia and exploring the delight of homemade foods. Do you remember I had to go for a medical check-up and you didn’t want to miss our picnic plan? So we decided to ditch the doctor’s appointment and head straight to children’s park. And magic had happened that day; my fever was gone, without taking any medicine. Do you know why my princess? Because you were there…!! My best ever remedy.

Time flies when happy days are there. You and I were best friends and soon you grew up. You learnt to make friends outside and it turned harder for you to spare some time for me. But I knew childhood is incomplete without friends like you. I cherished your friendships with other kids, but the kid inside me, who was there exclusively for you often felt hurt and ignored. But I managed.

Then you stepped into adolescence and we started having the long series of arguments over any random things. You father called it Generation gap and you blamed my Authoritative Nature.

Teenage successfully handed you over to Youth and far away from me. Every time I wanted to break in a conversation, you replied, “Mom, can’t you see I am busy, please do not disturb”

This Do not Disturb thing became the thin line between us and I could never gather courage to erase.

I often sit in this little room, where you were born and where your childhood is still treasured. I look at the colorful walls, the pencil sketches you scribbled on the walls and your tiny wardrobes and my heart yearns for a soulful cry and a gentle hug from you to soothe it forever.

Now you are a mother. Your son is a toddler yet and I am worried for you my child. I don’t want you to have motherhood, where you are gradually drifted away from your own child. Stay connected with your child and transform with time, so that you can be able to enter in your child’s life even when he grows up, which I failed to do.

Spend as much time as you can with your kids, before they ask you to “Do Not Disturb” them.

Your Mom.

She clinched the letter next to her heart and released a soulful sigh! She wanted to rush back to her childhood and hug her mom forever and never let her go!

Moms never die because they care for their child even after their death. That’s what her Mother had done-Left a note, which had taught her the biggest lesson of her life.

Kissing the letter again and again, she rushed to the garden. Hugging her little boy tightly, she said, no school today, we are going on picnic.

Kids are so happy when they get to bunk the school officially! He put his necks around her Mommy and kissed her cheeks multiple times.

Putting her social networking and work status to “Do Not Disturb”, she was all busy in relishing her life’s best moments.

Piu was wretched and what led her to this misery was arrival of nosy neighbor Sharma Uncle. Sharma was the most annoying individual and self-acclaimed gentleman. He held expertise in lowballing others and finding faults in their lives.

Every time little Piu felt a strong urge of bringing Uncle Sharma down and teach him some manners. But Daddy was always successful in mincing her anger. But, today the volcano seemed to be sweltering and burst out.

Sharma uncle entered the house, parked his huge butt on the finest chair in the garden and started flipping through the newspaper. Piu was still busy in making mud-pies.

“Psst Psst… Hey Sassy Lady! Where’s your Dad” Sharma started the conversation.
“In the backyard, washing car” Piu was still focused on her mud pies.

“Or in the kitchen washing dishes khi-khi-khi” Uncle tried to poke Piu’s brain.

“How long you have been repeating the same dialogue Uncle, Grow Up” said Piu, busy scratching her head to cultivate new and pierce thoughts so that she could give an edgy fight to arrogant Uncle.

“Why are you scratching head, either wash it or turn bald like me” Said uncle, caressing his bald head and scratching his beard with another.

“Mr. Bald-headed Gentleman, why don’t you shave and clean your cheeks like mine? People need hair on their heads not on their cheeks.” Volcano Bursted!

“Grow up little lady” Said Baldy Uncle.

“Sharma Uncle, I hate that unclean stubble and also your idea of making others feel minor. Now tell me who needs to grow up?”

Uncle was too shocked to stand or sit in front of that little revolution.

“Who was it honey” asked Mommy responding to the voices outside.

“Baldy gentleman asking for barber shop” replied Piu, busy again with mud pies.

Desert Safari Day: Piu’s Porky Pies leading to P.A.S.S. (Protest against Smelly Stubble)

Chapter-4

Piu went on a desert safari with her Dad. Sitting in open jeep, putting his dad’s goggles on, she kept boasting her cute looks around. She was fascinated by the ladies carrying water-pots. She kept waving to those beautiful ladies walking along the pavement.

“Why do these ladies veil their faces Dadda?”
“Because veil prevents them from dust” Dad replied neutrally
“Then why aren’t we veiled”
“Because we are in Jeep Doll”
“But the jeep is also not veiled; its open jeep can’t u see it?”

Poor Dad; trapped in little creature’s arguments, as always!

“Baby Girl, they veil their faces because they are beautiful and veiling preserves their beauty” Daddy tried to explain.

Piu was quiet and daddy was about to release a BIG sigh of relief but sadly he was interrupted.

“But their faces are hidden, how come you know they are beautiful?” Piu shot straight.

Daddy was in trouble. But, he had to answer.

“Because, those who hide their faces with something are beautiful”

“I beg to differ here Mr. Dadda!” Shouted Piu in cheerpy tone; removing goggles bigger than her cheeks, she continued, “If by any chance, you are trying to make a point that men that hide their faces behind dirty-stinky stubble are beautiful, then Mind You, It’s not gonna happen!”

Daddy’s mouth fell open, still he was thankful that he had shaved this morning.

Trying to fetch Piu’s attention, daddy looked in the rear mirror of his jeep, tucking his tongue beneath his right cheek.

Piu smiled and she was proud of her dad because ‘his clean shaved look bowled her over’

Wearing her stylish Big goggles Piu wickedly said, “No matter how much you try to woo me, I am surely gonna tell Mommy that you find these veiled water pot ladies beautiful”
