Live by Moments Cause Days are Long, Years are Short

A blissful morning awaits at the gate
I want to wake up and meditate
Let the positive energies resonate
This is the secret of feeling all time great

The verses mentioned above echo straight from my soul, every night when the rest of the world has fallen asleep and I am still awake, dreaming with my eyes open. I stare at the dark and try to look into the future, with a strong belief that the future is brighter, better and far away from this chaotic city life. I imagine a life, where there is bliss, wind sings to me and there is time to explore the exotic and mythic secrets of Mother Nature.

#CelebrateLifeAtIvy activity has given me a chance to talk about my ideas of celebrating life. Here's my idea to celebrate life!

C-Cherish
E-Every
L-Little
E-Event
B-Before
R-Real
A-And beautiful life comes
T-to an
E-End

I do not believe in waiting for a day to cherish or celebrate my life. I know if I do the same, it would be too late to live! I want to live and rejoice every moment passing by. Hence, waiting for weekends to have a good time is so old school thing for me. Every day is beautiful and has its own essence. This is what keeps me going. Here is a list of smaller things that bring bigger of happiness to me:

Morning Walk: I take a walk because the morning breeze has some magic in it. My chaotic city looks silent and soothing during early morning walks and I love it.

A wind chime: I have no words to explain how alive and vivid I feel when I hear the wind chime sing along with the wind. The sound is magical and it heals the left, the right and the center of my brain. When I hear that beautiful sound, my troubles vanish and I feel no pain!

The Maa Time: Talking to Maa, discussing stuff that is useless, sharing secrets and fighting over parliamentary debates for no reason is my daily dose. This keeps me going on against all the challenges of life. Talking to ma is like fuel to my entire existence.

Latest update: Yesterday I and mom had debate over multiple layers of earth. No one won!

Being Silly with Friends: You walk out from your house with a plan and then you meet your friend and then there's no plan and then you all make a plan together, which never works and then you decide to stick to the idea of having no plan at all, which itself is a plan and arrgh! Life means madness (planned or unplanned whatever), when you are with creatures called friends.

Smelling flowers, sand, perfumes, food, soaps, shampoos and blah!

Yes you might declare me weird after reading this one, that's why I have mentioned it at the end OKAY! I love to smell fruits, mint, cake, soap, shampoo and all the beautiful things that smell nice in this world. Ah! That was easy! You can hate me now! Ah! Do I smell something fishy cooking in your head, see I told ya I can smell anything!

Okay I believe that we are deviating from the topic. The idea was to discuss about the things that make big occasions unnecessary and make you enjoy the moment.

Well, most of it it is discussed above, but still here is checklist of few of a things that make big occasions unnecessary and make me enjoy the moment. Here we go!

  • I would prefer to dance in the rain rather than dancing in a club where the ambiance sounds like tubelight of the house has gone crazy and is flickering for no reason.
  • I do not wait for the big fat relative weddings to decorate my body with colorful clothes and jewelry items. Well, I do it quite often for my other in our dressing room and she loves to watch it!
  • I do not need a birthday or anniversary label to bring in a chocolate cake in the house. Indulgence ah!
  • I don't wait for the rain to feel the rainy season. I've got a shower in my bathroom.
  • I live by moments, because I have experienced this that Days are Long and Years are Short.

Pepsi & Popcorn-Playing #CrashThePepsiIPL Ads, the show is on

They fight for Pepsi
They unite for Pepsi
Watched almost 50 ads
and trust me found all of 'em sexy

Declaimer: I premiered the Pepsi videos with Pepsi Can in my one hand and Pop Corn Tub in another. OH YEAH! You are right. I used my nose to move the laptop track-pad! So what, got problem with that? Eh!

Being a blogger is always a privilege. I found it really interesting to get a chance to share my opinion on all the ads posted under CRASH THE PEPSI IPL contest, despite of not being one amongst the expert jury panel. Here's the summary of my overall experience :)

I enjoyed watching every video! Though, I enjoyed watching some a little more than others. But, one thing was common throughout the process of clicking through different videos, which was a feel good factor. Some ads excelled in terms of concept, creativity, direction and content but others could not reach to that level. BUT, every ad maker's efforts are needed to be appreciated because of following reasons:
  • The video might seem 30 second long or less, but it has to go through all the three phases-Pre product, production and post production to be uploaded on this page. Hence each admaker has worked really hard to participate in this contest.
  • Everyone has tried to convey a message and at the same time entertain within a short time span of 30 seconds of the video, which is commendable!
  • Participation requires courage and people have showcases massive response and enthusiasm towards the #CrashThePepsiIPL challenge. Kudos for all the participants.
Now its time to talk about the #CrashThePepsiIPL phase 2:

My Favorite Ads| My Hitlist

I liked many ads, based on their ability to entertain, engage and embed Pepsi in it flawlessly. There always has been a good thing about original Pepsi advertisements-In all the ads by Pepsi India, the product has always stood out as unique element but never stood separate from the lead protagonist in the ad. Hence, Pepsi and the actor in the ad have always been connected. Therefore, finding this message of connection and togetherness was very important for me.

Cutting Pepsi: Surprisingly cool and creative concept:

Cutting chai is considered very Indian thing and the way the admaker has introduced cutting Pepsi, clearly gives a message that how wholeheartedly India has accepted Pepsi as a prime beverage choice. People celebrate life with Pepsi and the soft drink is definitely associated with the spirit of cricket since beginning. India loves cricket and India loves drinking beverages in cutting glasses. Hence, drinking Pepsi cutting style really says a lot. :)

Positive advertisement, which blurs all lines of discrimination in just 30 Seconds

What you drink, what you eat and the way you behave reflects in your character and your personality. The spirit of sharing in this video is really heart touching. The way a soft drink can connect two people of different social standards and remove the discrimination grounds is simply brilliant.

PS: I loved the expressions of both the protagonists. The guy with Pepsi is really a good actor.

I found this ad the cutest of all :)

Friendship, Fun and Pepsi: Simple, Natural and Cute Advertisement:

I have spent college days playing around with my friends and I giggled when those two boys make fool of their lady friend to ignite some moments of memorable joy. I have experienced the same with my friends. They used to pull my leg and make me feel special in a different way. Pepsi fits in smoothly in the entire picture.

PEPSI IPL: United India: MY FAVORITE AD

This is amongst the smartest ads made under #CrashThePepsiIPL campaigns. The way all the teams of Indian Premier League have fallen together by rolling a Pepsi Bottle over that they make India's Map so beautifully, it instantly won my heart.

This is amongst the most clever plots for this contest and it is my favorite advertisement too.

Women Empowerment: The Pepsi Spirit: How could one not like it

Some parts of the country still believe that women can't play cricket and this wonderful advertisement breaks all the stereotypes in a stylish manner. Pepsi seems to be the driving force for the girls to play even better as a Pepsi Can is put forward by the boys as a challenge. Indeed thoughtful and creative concept, well executed!

All the actors in this ad have done complete justice to their roles and performed excellently.

Simple, Smart and Extremely Creative: How can one not like it!

The scrumptious and lip smacking food from all the eight states, where the IPL teams belong to. This is an amazing example of a beautiful and creative mind. Such a creative idea that it leaves you spellbound. I believe if there has to be 9 gems of IPL then 8 are the teams and 9th one is Of Course-Pepsi!

This is the most clever advertisement as per me!

Funny and engaging:

Ads with surprise element in them are always exciting. They keep the user engaged till the end. I was surprised with the way the Yoga Guru reveals all the Pepsi Cans under his shawl. This is something you don't see coming in the ad and hence it makes you feel stunned and happy!

This ad surprised me!

Better planning with lesser resources: The Pepsi Spirit Celebrated Well!

This is a smart method of making an advertisement. When you don't have resources then it becomes very difficult to bring out even smallest of the Audio Visual program. In this ad there is combination of text and script. No use of excessive props, locations and actors is done, but still the advertisement manages to stand out. Hence, I like it!

This is my take on the videos submitted under #CrashThePepsiIPL campaigns. To explore more awesomeness “Check out the #CrashThePepsiIPL videos & participate in the activity at BlogAdda

PS: After all, the show must go on!
PPS: Don't forget to sit with PEPSI and Pop Corn.

A Dil Deals with Everything for 'The Goodbye Hug'

We were best friends, for a long time. She ruled over the most fragile and precious corner of my heart. Niva, I used to call her Niva and she had named me Navi. There was a time, when we shared everything, room, secrets, clothes and problems. We were soul sisters, those typical ones.
As they say, 'change is life's only guarantee', we began to change too.

Sometimes she had a reason to fight and on the remaining days my thoughts would linger around whatever happened. There were times then we could have never imagined that we would be fighting with each other in the future. Thus, we both were not in the position to accept the CHANGE.
Long story short, we couldn't handle it, neither we could break it completely, so our friendship and sisterhood had reached a dead end, where pointless fights had surrounded has badly. And one fine day, we decided to call it off officially. We divided all the common dresses (the ones we has bought together for both of us) equally and with mutual consent to avoid useless fights. But, there are still some things, which are hard to divide and a classy leather jacket was one such thing.

That brown genuine leather jacket was our mutual property. We both had put our respective pocket money to buy that jacket and since in that much money we could afford only one so we had happily decided to share it. But now that things had changed and we had decided to split our paths, the sharing thing had lost its meaning.

"I will take this jacket , you take anything else" she said, which was quite unexpected.
This made me furious and I said, "Why don't you go for what you have suggested to me".
This was enough to begin the quarrel, which soon turned into a fight we both were going to remember for a lifetime to come. We kept fighting until one of us gave up and it was her. So as per the argument, I had won the jacket in my name so technically I had a reason to celebrate but I couldn't. Neither I celebrated nor could I sleep whole night.

My heart wanted me to do something... something to comfort it because it was paining. My heart ached whole night and continued with the pain next morning as well because it cared about the sisterhood and its promises.

At least we could have fared each other well... this was probably the last  time we would spend together and life would  never give us a chance to be roomies again. At least we could have shared a nice goodbye hug with smile on lips and tears in eyes. We both deserved it but none of us had the courage to say it.

My heart couldn't favor the idea of keeping the jacket. It keep telling me that the jacket should go with Niva. May be as a memento of our friendship and its last ever fight or may be as a remembrance to the promise of sharing we made and none of us could keep.

She was ready to go. Her bags were pack and she had no plans to look back at me. I had no courage to say anything. When she picked her bags, that was the time my heart pounded heavier than ever. I had to listen to my heart because if I hadn't, it would have sunk, deep into the layers of grief.

"This belongs to you" I managed to utter these words somehow while offering her the jacket. She looked at me blankly. Tears rolled down of my eyes. Things had gone worse with no hope of recovery and I had to bear with the truth.

"I will take it but as a whole. For that I need to return you your part, how much should I pay you?" She asked with all the anger last night's fight had ingested into her.

"Yes right...if you really want to pay me my share, I would ask for a goodbye hug." I finally had the courage to speak my heart out. She instantly grabbed me in her arms and for a moment that hug made us forget all the chaos we were dealing with.

We didn't speak and let the grudges melt with the dim heat of our dying yet surviving friendship. Had I not cared to listen to my heart, it would have died that day. I am glad that we had a moment to be the old Niva-Navi again before our paths were separated.

Thank you #DilKiDealOnSnapdeal for bringing this wonderful topic up so that I could share one of the most precious and memorable moments of my life.
